Sometimes when I list my sons' food allergies, people ask, "So what do you eat?"
So this is what we ate last night, Lasagna and Salad. Yum.
To be honest the boys are not much into salads, but Mr. Geek and I enjoyed it.
Saturday night we splurged and had steak and ribs on the grill, with baked potato and asparagus. It was worth barbequing in the cold rain.
See diet restrictions aren't that scary.

Looks good!!!
That looks so good! I LOVE lasagna! And salad? I would rather have that than anything else.
Yes, you can eat well. I wish my son would eat ribs and steak (my husband's staples) and lasagna. He eats spaghetti. Robin, what's the best noodles to buy for lasagna? Rice or soy or what? Some taste better than others. Thought I would ask a veteran!
My boys really prefer sloppy joes and chicken wings over steak and ribs, but sometime the cook gets to eat what she wants, hah. They did like the lasagna though.
I don't like soy noodle because I think soy has an aftertaste, and my boys seem to be sensitive to too much of it.
For lasagna, I use EnerG or Tinkyada Rice noodles, and I don't cook the noodles before putting then in the lasagna. For spaghetti, I like Ancient Harvest - Quinoa/corn, if you can do corn.
Beats the heck out of water-logged leeks.
Amen.
People with food allergies eat stuff that is so much better that people without allergies. Healthier and tastier.
Is it bad for a computer to lick the screen?
Thanks, Robin. I try to stay away from soy, but have you noticed that soy has about taken over the world? Next to corn..that's because the government subsidizes the farmers corn crops - we are awash in corn syrup in everything.
We need to eat locally grown stuff and support a variety of organic food.
I will try the Energ-G noodles.
YUM!
